yoga therapy & ayurveda

Mindful Movement, Mindful Eating, Mindful Living

Hi, I’m Bernie

My yoga practice began about 20 years ago, and from that very first practice a curiosity was sparked in me that led me to explore yoga and ayurveda as a means to relieve stress, overcome emotional blockages and understand this human experience.

Over the years, a deep passion for the practice was ignited, which guided me to complete many trainings in yoga and ayurveda, most recently completing my studies in yoga therapy rooted in the tradition of Sri Krishnamacharya, enabling me to facilitate a genuine impact in the lives of my clients through the recognised tools of yoga therapy.

Prior to my yoga therapy training, I have also completed over 800 hours training in hatha, yin, yoga for trauma and mental health and vinyasa yoga. I love sharing all things yoga, ayurveda and healing and am committed to being a lifelong student of this incredible practice.

When I am not on the mat, you can find me hiking around the beautiful Coffs Coast, camping, in the ocean, or trying out a new ayurvedic recipe.

Create a plan that works for you

Yoga therapy is the application of the full range of yoga practices to the specific needs of the client in a 1:1 setting or in a therapeutic group. The process involves the therapist and the client working together to develop a self empowering practice that will realistically fit into your everyday. This is developed over a series of sessions and adjusted accordingly depending on your evolving needs. My work is trauma informed and mental health aware.
