Yoga therapy is the application of the full range of yoga practices to the specific needs of the client in a 1:1 setting or in a therapeutic group.

The process involves the therapist and client working together to develop a self-empowering practice for the client to do at home each day.

This is developed over a series of sessions and adjusted accordingly based on the evolving needs of the client.

My work is trauma sensitive and mental health aware.

What To Expect

My approach is to honor each person as a whole and make space for the interweaving of emotions, thoughts, body, and nervous system in a personalized approach to care.

The yoga techniques applied within the
therapeutic relationship are a combination of asana (postures), pranayama (breath awareness), mudra (hand gestures), visualisations, chanting, relaxation, meditation, yoga philosophy, and ayurvedic diet & lifestyle suggestions.

Together we develop a practice that will realistically fit into your life in a supportive way. My work is trauma informed and mental health aware. After the initial consultation we work together over a number of sessions as needed.
